Key to the speed is an 11-by-8-1/4-inch wire basket that holds the food and permits the convection fan to circulate air completely around it. Foods that are normally deep-fried--like french fries and chicken wings--emerge crisp and flavorful. Steaks, hamburgers, and fish cook in minutes without oil. An electronic control panel includes crisping and browning options. (One caution: the outside of the oven heats up during operation.) For cleaning ease, the basket and drip tray are dishwasher-safe.
