Beatiful Set: oil and vinegar bottle by Kay Bojesen Practical and elegant everyday objects made of wood - the Menageri series by Kay Bojesen originates in its designs from the 1940s. The oil and vinegar bottles are made of high-quality, hand-blown glass. They have a cork stopper and are assembled in a holder. The wood is treated to make it insensitive to discolouration from food. So you can easily use the set for daily use in the kitchen.Designer Kay Bojesen The fine craftsman and designer Kay Bojesen produced more than 2000 different designs in the course of his career. This makes him one of the most productive Danish craftsmen of the 20th century. Besides the well-known and popular monkeys and other wooden animals, his work also includes jewellery, cutlery, teapots and silver goblets. Kay Bojesen first completed an apprenticeship as a silversmith with Georg Jensen. With the birth of his son Otto in 1919, Bojesen became interested in children's toys. He carved small wooden figurines and finally focused his interest entirely on working with wood in the 1930s. He deliberately did not want to create lifelike copies of animals, but rather imaginative variations with a soft and flowing design that has its origins in the imagination of children.Material and size The bottle set consists of FSC-certified matt lacquered oak wood and hand-blown glass as well as a cork. The bottles are 15 cm high. They are not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher!
